Cradlepoint IBR600 used in Texas School Buses

Recently Valley Central reported on a school system that has deployed Cradlepoint IBR600 routers for long bus rides. Students are now able to enjoy filtered internet access on long trips from Cameron County into Willacy County. The IBR600 shown at 1:23 in the video above is designed for rugged applications and packs a very small form factor making it easy to mount in a vehicle.

Cradlepoint's IBR series isn't just showing up on buses, they're also very popular for kiosk systems, ATM, trains, digital signage and more! The new Cradlepoint IBR600LE is available supporting Verizon's new 4G LTE network, which gives users access to 5-12Mbps download and 2-5Mbps upload. Setup is also simple making wide scale deployments a breeze by simply inserting a sim card and turning the unit on. System admins can then take advantage of Cradlepoint's WiPIPE Management tool, which allows admins to easily apply a variety of settings over a central Cloud based management system.
