Remote IP Switch Tutorial on MSN Messenger

The Remote IP Power Switch is a powerful tool allowing you to easily schedule reboot sequences or automatically detect failure on WAN or LAN connectivity. If you demand complete control over your equipment the Power Switch also offers MSN control that allows you to easily check device status, IP addresses and manually power cycle specific outlets.

However, with recent privacy changes in Windows Live some customers have had issues getting this specific feature to work. When new accounts are created they're set as private and unless you follow the instructions in the video above you won't be able to communicate to the IP Switch MSN account. After you've confirmed that all your MSN accounts can talk back and forth you'll be able to add the account into the IP Switch and enjoy the ability to manually reset equipment anywhere you've got Internet access!
