AT&T and T-Mobile announced that they have agreed temporarily to allow their customers in New Jersey and New York to roam onto one another's networks.
Subscribers in these states, which were heavily impacted by Hurricane Sandy, will be able to make calls from their cell phones on whichever network is available or stronger.
This Is possible in part because both networks use the same GSM and HSPA networking technologies in the 1900MHz spectrum band.
A Note to our Customers: Our company is sponsoring something called 'Candy for Sandy', where we send our left over Halloween Candy to the kids in shelters on the east coast". If you can help or help spread the word, just goto http://3Gstore.com/candy and you will be redirected to the Face Book page for more info"
