Global LTE users likely to exceed 100 million this year

Recently IHS iSuppli released a wireless report that forecasts over 100 million LTE subscribers by the end of 2013. Last year there were 92.3 million global users and they estimate the worldwide total will reach 198.1 million total in 2013, which marks a 115 percent increase from last year. Within the U.S. Verizon is the biggest contributor as LTE available in 477 markets, AT&T in second with 175 cities, Sprint in third with 70 cities and T-Mobile in last place with no LTE coverage yet. Users in a 4G LTE area can typically expect to see around 5-12Mbps download and 2-5Mbps upload, which is 10-15 times faster than the older 3G network!
