AT&T launches shared data tiers for business customers

It hasn’t been long since Verizon launched their shared data packages for business customers and now AT&T is following along with new service options for businesses. The larger data tiers are going to be available for business users that want to share 30GB, 40GB or 50GB of data each month. The plans aren’t going to be cheap though, the new tiers will cost $300, $400 and $500 a month and overage charges are billed at $15 per GB used. In addition to the monthly charge business customers will also need to pay $30 for each smartphone that is added to the plan.

Although this may sound more attractive for business use, many users are migrating to 3Gstore’s Millenicom service, which includes 20GB of data for $69.99/mo. Considering a user can buy multiple devices to augment bandwidth, you could actually get three of these devices and pay $209.97/mo for 60GB of data! Packages like this show it’s possible to score a lot more data per month for less than half the cost that carriers like AT&T will charge direct for their service. Be sure to let us know in the comments below on what you think about AT&T’s new business data shares!
