AT&T stops blocking facetime over cellular

Over the last year AT&T has took a lot of heat for blocking video applications like Facetime for Apple devices while other carriers like Verizon allowed this over the cellular network. After several complaints they eventually removed the restriction from customers on tiered based data packages and AT&T blamed developers for being unable to offer Facetime over the cellular networks. Now Apple Insider has indicated that several markets are now showing that they can use Facetime over the cellular networks regardless if your plan is metered or on an older unlimited data package. Customers in parts of New York, Maryland, Georgia, Louisiana, California and Hawaii are now reporting the ability to Facetime over LTE and the quality is almost as good as WiFi. Let us know in the comments below if AT&T is finally offering Facetime over cellular in your area.
