GM embedding AT&T LTE in most 2015 vehicles

General Motors has recently announced the plan to bring AT&T LTE to most of their 2015 car models. The service will also be tied to their OnStar service and emergency aid services and GM says that the automobile will be the next tech evolution platform “with far better battery life than iPhone”. This seems like a great idea but many customers are aware of better mobile solutions that aren’t limited to your vehicle anymore. Devices like MiFi hotspots, smartphones and wireless routers can do the same thing and won’t be limited to your garage when your vehicle isn’t in use. Only time will tell how well this is adapted and if more users will see value in their service to add yet another monthly fee for data access in your vehicle.
