Sprint moves Network Vision completion to mid 2014

According to an announcement by Fierce Wireless Sprint will be finishing their Network Vision rollout a little later than originally anticipated. In a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission Sprint said "further deployments of Network Vision technology, including LTE market launches and enhancements of our 3G technology, are expected to continue through the middle of 2014." They’ve got a total of 38,000 cell sites that will need to be done by the mid part of 2014 to meet their new goal, but originally planned to have most of it complete by the end of 2013. The Network Vision rollout involves Sprint converting existing cellular towers to handle 800Mhz LTE technology, 1.9Ghz 3G/LTE and 2.5Ghz WiMAX technology. By the end of 2013 Sprint hopes to have LTE access available for over 200 million POPs across the country.
