Verizon takes most satisfied customer rating in new JD Power Survey

Today JD Power announced that Verizon has won the 2013 U.S. Residential Internet Service Provider Satisfaction Study in the East, West and South regions. The press release indicated that overall customer satisfaction increased among Internet customers to 683 on a 1,000 point scale and more than one-third (38%) of customers have upgraded to premium speed service packages. The biggest factor for customer satisfaction is performance and reliability and within the past year customers that increased their speed recommended faster service to friends/family increasing upgrades to 23% up from 14% last year. Taking an average customers are spending $48 per month on premium speeds while customers on basic Internet are paying $43 per month. In addition to the Cable access Verizon Wireless is also leading the pack with over 500 markets launched with 4G LTE delivering the fastest wireless speeds for cell phones and data devices.
