AT&T has just announced the launch of 12 new markets now offering 4G LTE service. Customers in Durango, Colo.; Elmira, N.Y.; Fond du Lac, Appleton and Oshkosh, Wis.; Kauai, Hawaii; Poplar Bluff and Sikeston, Mo.; Pottsville, Pa.; Terre Haute, Ind.; Burley and Twin Falls, Idaho will now have access to 4G LTE service. This brings AT&T’s total market coverage to 488 markets across the U.S. covering 250 million POPs and 90% of mobile traffic now runs over the LTE network. They plan to have their LTE network completed by the summer of 2014 and customers in LTE enabled areas can expect to see roughly 5-12Mbps download and 2-5Mbps upload speeds on average.
