Cradlepoint to lead panel discussion at 2014 IT Expo and M2M Evolution Conference

CradlePoint, the global leader in cloud-managed, 3G/4G networking solutions for distributed enterprises, today announced its participation as an industry spokesperson within the retail, branch office, and machine-to-machine (M2M) markets at the upcoming IT Expo and M2M Evolution Conference in Miami, Florida. M2M Evolution brings together a variety of industry leaders to help set direction, address challenges, and discuss the application of machine-to-machine’s (M2M) growing pervasiveness. CradlePoint’s Vice President of Business Development, Ken Hosac, will speak about the impact of wireless broadband as a primary connection for customer engagement applications in the retail, transportation, and financial services verticals.

CradlePoint's technology continues to shape the way in which today’s largest brands adopt and deploy the Internet of Things (IoT). CradlePoint’s presence at this year’s IT Expo/M2M Evolution Conference will be highlighted by a number of opportunities, including CradlePoint’s partnering with industry leader Sprint to discuss “Consumer Driven M2M.” CradlePoint will also be participating within a roundtable discussion on the topic "M2M and the Internet of Things (IoT)." CradlePoint's customer YESCO, one of the world’s largest signage and digital outdoor display manufacturers, will also be highlighted as part of the conference's annual Impact Awards.

“The M2M Evolution Conference, co-hosted with IT Expo, represents the leading individuals and companies enabling the emerging Internet of Things,” said Hosac. “This event brings together the best people in M2M technology to reduce costs, increase efficiency, and drive greater profitability while providing additional insight into how M2M is expanding. TMC through their publications and their industry-specific events is helping to define the connectivity, collaboration, and innovative technologies for the M2M market, and CradlePoint is proud to support these efforts.”

The M2M market continues to expand as organizations look to further engage with customers, introduce analytics, measure success and drive business results. M2M encapsulates many of the same applications that would be found in traditional retail environments, including a PCI Compliant Point-of-Sale system, HVAC system, surveillance and WiFi. CradlePoint’s managed network connectivity provides the foundation that allows each system to operate independently and collectively as part of the broader application. CradlePoint is recognized for reliable, high-bandwidth M2M networks that can be quickly integrated and deployed without the constraints typically associated with wired connectivity.

CradlePoint’s Ken Hosac is scheduled to speak on two different panels during the M2M Evolution Conference and IT Expo:

Wednesday – January 29, 2014

The Point of Sale is the place where inventory changes to revenue, yet often it is the place where this exchange gets lost as a tool to manage the supply chain. M2M applications are transforming the way merchants do business. From taxicabs to storefronts to kiosks, companies are increasingly seeing the value of connectivity at the Point of Sale. But a successful POS deployment requires more than a reliable connection. Privacy, security, compliance, and redundancy are all necessary components. And with Self Service coming of age, what can be done with POS to make the experience optimal for the customer and the company?

M2M is evolving from connecting devices and users in a proprietary, costly Intranet setting, into an open, vastly interconnected and extremely affordable Internet of Things that turns objects into connected experiences, and creates huge new revenue streams for businesses of all sizes. Hosac and the other panelists will discuss how anyone—from small entrepreneurs to large enterprises—can build, connect, operate and capitalize on the IoT opportunity.

Because of the speeds afforded by 4G LTE, enterprises are turning to wireless connections and the cloud to better manage their operational applications and efficiencies. CradlePoint’s cloud-managed M2M networking solutions are built to provide a high-level of availability, flexibility, and security for applications like digital signage, kiosks, surveillance, Point of Sale systems, and vehicles. In particular, the award-winning CradlePoint COR is a highly featured, compact router designed specifically for critical business and enterprise applications that require 24/7 connectivity. These networking solutions can be managed using CradlePoint Enterprise Cloud Manager to monitor, configure, and upgrade geographically dispersed systems without requiring onsite technical resources.
