One of the Biggest WiFi Networks to Date!

Back in April, there was lots of buzz around Aruba Networks signing a contract with the San Francisco 49ers. The contract was to install WiFi access points for their new Levi's Stadium. Now, there's definite confirmation those rumors were true!

Results came in from the first football game from last Sunday. According to Dan Williams, the vice president of technology for the 49ers, the Levi's stadium WiFi network carried 2.13 terabytes of data with a peak of 24,775 fans on the network simultaneously! They compared those results to numbers gathered from the latest Super Bowl, which totaled approximately 2.5TB of data used across wireless networks - at least in terms of AT&T and Verizon.
